Silent Auction is Coming Soon!

SMPO is excited to host the Silent Auction "Mardi Gras" this year at The Syndicate in Newport, KY on February 18, 2012.  This year's auction will offer an array of items for bidding including vacation packages to Disney World, Wrigley Field, The Kentucky Derby, Key West Vacation Home, Private Beach home in Bocas Del Toro, Panama and  a Golf Vacation Package.  We are offering lots of "Parties" for your family and friends to choose from.  Skydiving lessons, Flying lessons, tickets to sporting events, certificates to area restaurants and shopping, framed artwork and jewelry, and classroom projects and room baskets just to name a few.  Our catalog will be available soon to view on line and check back often as it will be updated regularly.

Remember to purchase your ticket for our main raffle to win an Apple Ipad, only $5.00 per ticket.

So plan to join us Saturday, February 18 at 7p.m. for an evening of great food, drinks, entertainment, Casino gaming, and have fun bidding on hundreds of items with a great group of people!

We invite you to experience an unforgettable evening of African drumming, dance, vibrant costumes & folk stories at Family Story Night.

Please join us in the Gym, Thursday 1/26 at 6:00pm, as we host the professional artists of Bi-Okoto. The traditional story telling of many African cultures will be represented by this internationally acclaimed group!

The enthusiastic show will make for great entertainment for the entire family & the event is free! Please browse the display tables for a sampling of the our featured library books or take a shot at playing some authentic African instruments.

Sands Choir

Welcome back to 2011/12 School year. This semester the choir will sing at the Pinwheels for Peace Assembly (TBA) in September. Choir will lead in the singing of Let There be Peace on Earth. On Oct. 13th Choir will present a musical “Lets Communicate” by Carmino Ravosa for the whole school community. November will bring International Night and in December, we will present a holiday show that everyone will remember and enjoy! The Choir has already been asked to sing at the Cyclones game in 2012 so get ready for some Icy Fun!

Choir rehearsals will begin Thurs. Sept 1st and run through Thurs. Dec. 15th from 3:45-4:30 in the General Music Room.
