Bring your Campbell's Labels to school THIS WEEK

Hello Parents and Friends of Sands Montessori! My name is Kelly Crantford and I am in charge of submitting the labels to Campbell ’s for the Labels for Education program. For each UPC submitted, we earn points for our school to get free items that benefit the classrooms and school. Currently they are running a promotion where, if I submit 2500 points before the end of the year, we will receive 2500 bonus points! I currently have over 2000 points, so we’re almost half way there! Ask all of your friends, neighbors and relatives to save these points off of products they already purchase. Please send in your Campbell ’s Label for Education UPC codes or caps on or before winter break, December 18, 2009. See the attached list for all qualifying products. If you are confused about what to send, turn in the entire label. I am sure we can meet this goal so that our great school can take advantage of these bonus points being offered. Do you have a Kroger Plus Card? Go to the following link, enter your Kroger Plus Card number, desiginate Sands, and every time you purchase a Campbell's Labels for Education item, Sands will automatically receive point(s) for each item purchased. http://www.elabelsforeducation.com/Sites/Campbells_eLabels/Page/CreateAc... If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 513-271-1363 or kcrantford@fuse.net Thanks for your support!

Diversity Committee Needs Your Input

Sands Montessori has a rich tradition of cultural and ethnic diversity. Help us maintain that tradition by joining the diversity committee. Recruitment of new families is our big focus right now,as magnet sign-up begins on November 18. We also need to plan International Night.

Please consider joining the committee!

If you are unable to commit but have good ideas, please share! You can alsotalk about our wonderful Sands programand family to anyone you think may benefit. If you know of East region centers or groups who may be interested in learning more about Sands, let the committee know.

Contact Miriam McKenney (using our Contact Form ») with any ideas or suggestions, questions, or if you are interested in joining the committee. You can also find Miriam at the Sands Library Tuesday– Friday.

It takes a village to keep a great school running – be a part of the village!

If you didn't attend the meeting you can download and review the budget report here.

Buddy Family Program

Returning Sands families are needed to serve as "hosts" for the Buddy Family Program, to welcome one or two new Sands families and to help with their transition to a new school. This would mean being available to answer questions, inviting them to Sands events, and whatever else you feel would be helpful. The extent of your involvement will vary depending on what you are able to do and the new families' needs. To volunteer or for questions, please use our contact form and select BUDDY FAMILY PROGRAM

**If your are a new family and would like another Sands family to help in your transition, please use the contact form linked above. Someone will contact you in the next couple of weeks.
